Look younger with Face Yoga

We’re always trying to look younger, using creams and treatments, and sometimes weird remedies, but there is an easier way and you can do it at home, and it won’t cost you anything.   It’s called face yoga, and it entails doing pretty weird facial exercises, so do it somewhere no one can see you  Go try it out, why not? If it takes three years off…I’m game.

Slang Words That Will Make You Sound Like an Old Fart

As a Millennial in my late 20s, it really is hard to believe that my generation is slowly becoming dated. How do I know this, well yesterday while speaking to my niece, I used an old phrase, stopped talking in the middle of the conversation and asked myself, do kids still talk like that…. Even the notion!!!

Last month I thought I was still one of the kids but turns out, there are a couple of things that we used to think were supercool,  is now seen as ancient and lame by the generation after us.

So I found a list of slang that according to the new generation is not in… and I am guilty of using some of these bad boys….

But thankfully not all of them. Because if you still use the phrase raising the roof - while pumping both your arms in the air is definitely a way to show how old you are to the youth.

And who remembers tight? Was there any better word out there to describe a close relationship or something really awesome? Nope. Now, it's all about "hunty" and "snatched."

And if you really want to sound old, tell some teenagers to take a chill pill and look at their blank, judging faces.  If that does not work, then The only thing that will make kids judge you more would be saying "peace out" while simultaneously pounding your chest twice and then giving the peace sign. (Please do it.)

They will really wonder how old you are…

But one phrase that we all use to this day that I will never stop using is definitely cool beans….  Because Keeping things G-rated with "cool beans" was the only way to go. If someone says it today, it would have to be me….. more than ever. I just used it with my work wife…

Which according to this list, I'm old…..

But I don’t care, they be Triflin', you dig….. Peace out

Iceland Makes It Illegal For Companies To Pay Men More Than Women

Odile with you on the HD - Namibia’s number one hit music station, and I want to know if you remember when everyone started yelling Im moving to Australia as a response to something that they can’t or won’t accept. Because after Trevor Noah started that trend, next thing you know everyone is talking about Patricia and her demand for two-ply toilet paper or how I’m moving to Australia ……

And most of us never really knew why Australia, we just went with the trend.

Well, maybe you’d want to change Australia to Iceland if you feeling fancy… esp for woman. Because it turns out that the country implemented a new law on Monday that will make it illegal for male employees to be paid more than women doing the exact same job.

As of Jan. 1st, the legislation said that any company or government agency with 25 or more staff members will “have to obtain government certification of their equal-pay policies, and companies failing to comply with this law will face fines.

This is exactly the right direction and step each country should be heading towards.

Currently, Iceland’s Parliament consists of nearly 50 percent female members. The World Economic Forum (WEF) ranked the nation as the world’s most gender-equal country for the last nine years, acting as “a leader on female political empowerment and a strong performer on wage equality.”

The Icelandic government has said it is committed to closing the gender pay gap by 2022. That’s is music to my ears….

So ... who’s ready to grab a balaclava and some sweaters and move to Iceland wit me?

We can take Patricia with and her demand for two-ply toilet paper…
