Why you should never pop a pimple on your face

Now I’ve heard before that you should never pop a pimple because you could be making it much worse than it needs to be, but did you know that popping a pimple can actually be dangerous for your health?  And I don’t mean that hypothetically speaking...

Apparently we have a 'Triangle of Death' on our face, and it is about as ominous as it sounds.

The 'Triangle of Death' is the area of our face that stretches from the corners of your mouth to the bridge of your nose.

The reason popping a pimple in this area is so dangerous is because the veins in your “danger triangle” ultimately lead back to your cavernous sinus, which is located in your brain.

So let’s say you pop a pimple there, you basically create an open wound.  This in return can lead to an infection if somehow bacteria makes its way into the wound and this is where the real trouble starts because if left untreated it can lead to everything from facial paralysis and brain infections to a stroke and even death.

Yes, that means popping a pimple could actually kill you!

Now to be fair the chances of it really happening are really low - as in REALLY low; but still, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
