The East Rand grandmother who was thought to have been hacked to death, allegedly by her 14-year-old grandson, is actually fighting for her life in a Benoni hospital.
Police had initially said that the boy was being held for allegedly murdering his mother, grandmother, baby sister and young brother. NewsFlash reports that detectives have meanwhile recovered the axe they suspect was used in the murders. The boy is undergoing psychological assessment after reportedly telling neighbours he is a Satanist.
